Our mission

Indigenous Bridges is committed to building a better future for Indigenous Peoples across the globe, through fostering international solidarity, cooperation, and partnerships between local and diaspora Indigenous communities.

Indigenous Bridges acknowledges that, as ancient peoples, we often have a complicated and fraught history with each other. We are committed to facilitating Truth and Reconciliation for a better, sovereign, Indigenous future.

What we do

  • Politcal and Social Solidarity

    We provide and facilitate mutual assistance, strategic support, and collective organizing for Indigenous communities.

  • Economic Exchange

    We facilitate connections between Indigenous entrepreneurs, innovators, creators, and artists.

  • Cultural Exchange

    We facilitate face-to-face meetings between Indigenous communities.

  • Educational Programs

    We create educational resources, lectures and programs for schools and institutes.

  • Agricultural and Water Sovereignty

    We create networks between communities to trade traditional agriculture techniques and new technological innovations.

What is Indigeneity?

An Indigenous nation is a nation with an ethnogenesis within a specific land-space; who have historical ties to that land which predate colonial contact; who have a unique culture, language, spiritual framework, dress, and set of traditions, which they intend to pass down to future generations.
